the beach

This beach is not the famous andlsquo;beachandrsquo; in Thailand, but in Yzerfontein, which is in about a 2 hour drive from Cape Town.

The drive itself is amazing and the shot of the trees just gives you an idea of what this part of the world is like.

Itandrsquo;s very refreshing to shoot something different - and this wedding was very different from the stuff I normally shoot in London. Not different in terms of settings, but just how everyone is just so chilled!

The wedding took place at Oudekraal Nature Reserve, which is part of the greater Table Mountain National Park. The preps took place at the Twelve Apostles.

Once the speeches are done itandrsquo;s time to get the party started!

Hereandrsquo;s another relaxed wedding andndash; this is a wedding which took place in Boschendal.

The settings are pretty amazing, blue skies, mountains in the background, and of course a relaxed crowd.

This was a picnic wedding and there was a fresh hamper for every two guestsandhellip;andhellip;.

andhellip;andhellip;unless youandrsquo;re a kid and your get your own special one!

After lunch you just enjoy the sun and chill with your boysandhellip;..

andhellip;likewise, Catherine was having some quality time with her gals!

MAKE UP AMBREEN

This was quite a challenging shoot! Firstly, The traffic was a nightmare andndash; so just over 1 hourandrsquo;s journey was taking 3 hours! So you can imagine everything running late (fortunately, I was given a heads up so took a different route).

Secondly, the couple had booked into quite a swanky hotel andndash; which suffered a power failure, so they had to decamp last minute to the Hilton in Croydon. When I got to the Hilton, the foyer was packed with people andndash; Tesco were having a Christmas staff party!!!!!!!

So you get the idea, not the ideal start. To be honest, I was scratching my head thinking of what to do andndash; but then I took one look at Krishika, who was not fazed and had placed her confidence in me andndash; so if she was game on so was I, and here we go!

So on with the introductions, hereandrsquo;s Krishika

And hereandrsquo;s Krishna. These shots were taken in a small corner where they serve breakfast (even had a waiter asking if we needed help andndash; lol)

Itandrsquo;s been a while since I posted a straight BandW image, but my gal was working it real good!

And here is missy in the underground car park. I guess the moral of the story is that it does not matter where you are, or what you wear, itandrsquo;s really all about YOU!!!!!

THE GOLDEN TEMPLE

I stayed in Amritsar for a few days and when your there one of the must do things is to visit the Golden Temple. So I jumped in a tuk-tuk and off I went. If you have ever travelled in India you will know what the driving is like, so I grabbed some pics on the journey.

Check out the three amigos on their bikes!

All the shots where taken from inside the tuk-tuk. It may not look it, but he was really close to the back of this car (can see the inside of the tuk-tuk in the shot) and they were both going really fast with a few inches gap!

All of a sudden, the streets got narrower and more congested.

This is where the driver parked up and said andlsquo;I meet you here when your doneandrsquo; andndash; thatandrsquo;s my tuk-tuk on the right. He sure was gonna wait, as he had not been paid yet (handy trip andndash; when in India, pay when your done).

So I walked around the corner and it was there. The first thing that you see is the outbuilding, and I entered from here.

Here it is!

The temple is surrounded by a lake and you really get to see the reflection.

You can see the walk-way leading to the temple itself, still lost of people going in at night.

This is another shot of the walk-way and the temple.

After this I was witness to another amazing spectacle of physics and house-fly reactions andndash; or as itandrsquo;s more commonly know, Indian driving!

Hi folks, I have been travelling in some remote places andndash; which means limited internet and emails access. In fact, here is a photograph of downtown andndash; you can imagine what the suburbs look like!

I will be back in London in the first week of Dec, and will be looking forward to a good cup of tea andndash; LOL!

KAYZY + SIM

This is quite the iconic wedding andndash; it just says London all over! From the Mayfair street scene with the Rolls Royce, to the venue itself, Claridges andndash; itandrsquo;s so bling that even Gordon Ramsey has a restaurant there.

But the real show stealers where Kayzy and Sim!

I try to shoot the event as it unfolds, but I saw Kayzyandrsquo;s dress and I knew exactly where I wanted to put her andndash; just here by the window!!!!!

Likewise with Sim. I told him not to smile and this is the shot. From here on the scene was set.

I really like the last shot, not for the imagery on itandrsquo;s own, but for what it symbolises.

This is the Civil ceremony and Walima for Sajida and Faisal. I do not travel to Winchester often, but this was worth the trip and I can see how the feel in love with the place as soon as they saw it.

I guess if your doing a function in a place like this you gonna need a dress to matchandhellip;..

The grounds are pretty slick too and there is a bridge with a sign which says andlsquo;do not useandrsquo; andndash; but you only get married once andndash; LOL

So, you got the got the bling-bling venue and matching dressandhellip;.. the only way your gonna leave now is with a Rolls Royce and fireworks!
